Due to the volume of items we distribute, and the number of activities involved, there are many opportunities to volunteer even in 2020! HOWEVER, due to the pandemic, activities indoors have to limit the number of people that can participate. This is especially true for food packing at Channel One. Also, all volunteers will be required to wear face masks whether indoors or outdoors (which will help us stay healthy AND warm), and any volunteer working indoors will be required to fill out a health screening questionnaire for each day they volunteer indoors. See our list of COVID-19 volunteer precautions and our full Christmas Anonymous COVID-19 Preparedness Plan.
Unfortunately since our clients will not be shopping for their items this year we will not need our always excellent and greatly appreciated escorts. We hope to get back to our normal activities in 2021, and will need escorts then.
The chart below lists the types of activities for which we need volunteers. All volunteers must be at least of high school age.
We have reached our limit for volunteers! Hooray and THANK YOU to all!
